Vaughn Park Church of Christ

Our family spent the afternoon making homemade cookies and a pumpkin log for our neighbors. We let our kids help make everything. We were able to deliver to six families in our neighborhood. We were invited into 3 of the homes we delivered to and had great conversations with all 6 of our neighbors. With the goodies we attached a postcard with a message from our family stating we were available as neighbors if they ever needed anything. If they need a jump start on their car or if their TV broke and they needed to watch the Alabama or Auburn game we wanted to be helpful in anyway. We also told them we were a praying family and if they ever had anything we could pray for, we would be honored to include those requests in our prayer times. We left our phone number and our address. We met some great people in our neighborhood and feel that this event has been a wonderful experience for our family. We have the opportunity to get together in the future with all 6 families. We are excited about meeting more of our neighbors that we didn't get the chance to meet yesterday. Thanks Sid for working on this project. We need to be encouraged to do more things like this.
